1. Service Description

Ancestry Decoded provides personalised Forensic Phenotype Reports — visual analyses of facial morphology compared against documented reference populations. Our reports are produced by human analysts using soft-tissue landmark measurement and population comparison methodologies.

This service is for personal interest and educational entertainment only. It is not a DNA test, a medical assessment, or a genealogical record. Results reflect statistical morphological comparison and should not be used for legal, medical, or identity-verification purposes.

2. Ordering & Payment

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have parental consent) and that you agree to these Terms. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in your selected currency and are charged at the time of checkout.

3. Photograph Submission

By submitting photographs, you confirm that:

• The photographs are of yourself, or you have explicit consent from the person photographed.
• The photographs are suitable for analysis (clear, well-lit, neutral expression).
• You grant Ancestry Decoded a limited, non-transferable licence to use these photographs solely for the purpose of producing your report.

If submitted photographs are unsuitable for analysis, we will contact you to request resubmission. This may extend the delivery timeline.

4. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your report. Our refund policy is as follows:

• Before photo submission: Full refund available upon request. Contact us at hello@ancestrydecoded.com with your order reference.
• After photo submission / analysis started: Refunds are not available once analysis has begun, as our analysts will have already commenced work on your report.
• Quality concerns: If you believe your report contains a material error, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will review and, if warranted, provide a corrected report at no additional cost.

5. Delivery

Reports are delivered digitally via email. The Digital Edition is typically delivered within 72 hours and the Heritage Edition within 48 hours of receiving suitable photographs. These are estimated timeframes and not guaranteed delivery windows. Delays may occur during periods of high demand.

6. Intellectual Property

Your completed Forensic Phenotype Report is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may share your report privately but may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the report content, design, or methodology without written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The Forensic Phenotype Report expresses statistical morphological affinity — how closely your measured facial features resemble documented population means. It does not determine or confirm genetic ancestry, ethnicity, nationality, or heritage. Results are probabilistic, not deterministic.

Ancestry Decoded provides this service “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for decisions made based on report content.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to recent customers. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
